The village lies alongside the A487 midway between Newport and Cardigan. And did you know that the village sign for Eglwyswrw was used in a Eurotunnel advertising campaign throughout France, Germany and Netherlands?
A small Norman motte and bailey fortification can be found on the western side of the village. There are masonry remains from what appears to have been a square tower.
